The 12-channel GPS tracking system uses 100% INMARSAT satellite technology for dependable and accurate tracking, 24/7 – 365 worldwide.

Designed and calibrated to meet exact industry standards, the system allows for satellite communication at elevations as low as 5 degrees above the horizon and provides accurate positioning data within 4 meters.

Tracking data is transmitted via satellite to Royal’s secure data collection website where it is accessible to the customer for self-monitoring or Royal will provide monitoring while supplying the customer with necessary MMS data.

The Sentinel® Smart Buoy can be used as a standard hazard or location indentification buoy. When used in tandem with Royal Service & Rental’s Net Guards, the buoy brings its customers into immediate compliance with MMS #30-CFR250 in reference to temporary well abandonment requirements in 300 feet or less water depth, and with USCG #33-CFR67 governing both the use of sub-sea protective covering devices and the automatic systems used in the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
